Dmitry Shishkov, The softness of the sky and clouds is an important part of the tranquil atmosphere. Adding texture to the sky, especially making it blue, will disrupt the smoothness of the image. Texture is needed on the "ground," i.e., on solid objects, but not in the sky. Furthermore, the current tonality of the sky organically connects the foreground with the background and doesn't draw attention away from the main theme—the golden birch grove.
