What a charming picture, I really like it!!!!!!!!!!!
Valeria Strunnikova, Thank you! These Orthodox holidays have become so familiar to us that we sometimes forget what they're about. We just know: tomorrow is Apple Savior's Day, and then it'll be Nut Savior's Day. And that's enough for us. Maybe that's right. Or rather, that's acceptable. So I decided to depict this event with a picture.

I like the left one; it has a clear, easy-to-read mood. But the right one, due to its unclear center (the light shape is unrecognizable at first glance), lacks expressiveness. In my experience, the center of the frame, for comfortable perception, must be easily read and recognizable. 😉

Author works, I beg to differ with you. Why should the center be comfortable? Perhaps it's convenient for you, but others will disagree. In this pair, both parts are coordinated both in color and plot. How the viewer perceives this is another question. After all, they are also different.

Why should the center be comfortable?
Vladimir Polonsky, look for = the psychology of perception, mirror neurons, the search for the "keys" to empathy and comfort, plus my analysis of the PI, led me to this conclusion.
Perhaps this is convenient for you, but someone else will disagree.
Of course, there are artists who disagree with my conclusions, so admire this art. https://yandex.ru/images/search?text=%D0%A1%D0%B0%D0%B9%20%D0%A2%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%B1%D0%BB%D0%B8%20%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%82%D0%B8%D0%BD%D1%8B&source=related-duck&lr=11474&pos=1&img_url=https%3A%2F%2Fru.artsdot.com%2FADC%2FArt.nsf%2FO%2F8XXSG5%2F%24File%2FCy_Twombly-Untitled_I.jpg&rpt=simage

You can also combine two photos into a story, but these are usually reportage shots. Artistic ones... again, I must make reference to the "abilities" of mirror neurons, which seek similarities in everything, and in a wide variety of ways, but have a certain hierarchy, directly dependent on the individual's perceptual predisposition. For me, as a visual person, after danger signals comes visual form... Recognizable - comfortable, unrecognizable - uncomfortable. That's it... But for those whose brains haven't yet straightened out, the explanation should be sufficient.

I'm currently working on a project like that. In black and white. Actually, I'd rather put it this way: each photo works well on its own, but when placed together, they create a different visual image. You're spot on about the similarities; that's important. Thank you.

True. I'd rather put it this way: each photograph works well on its own, but when paired together, they create a different visual image.
Sergey Mikhalyuk, you can't argue with that... the similarity (including the visual transitions that complete the image...) allows you to combine photographs with completely different narratives, creating complex and ambiguous impressions.

Good luck with your creative endeavors, Sergey. 😉
