It's not surprising, there's a method of portraiture with a short focal length, for example, 35mm, close-up against the backdrop of an evening city. And there, the importance of the surroundings plays a key role. Honestly, this is an appliqué; the person is cut out of black paper with scissors and pasted in. Simple. And we don't look for easy ways.
