Here it is, a real "Dog Day" in the style of pictorialism.

Additional information regarding the flash mob rules, all admins and the Master are advised to read them!!!
As far as I know, you can post an old photo on the day of the flash mob, as many do, if it's strong and fits the theme. I myself took advantage of this yesterday. However, I don't think old photos, many of which have received many votes and a high rating, should be included in the flash mob. They are often the main contenders for the winner, who then chooses the flash mob theme? Or is that no longer the case? But even if they don't choose the theme, every author wants to be a winner, or almost anyone; that's what contests are for. And even if many say they don't care what their rating is or how their work is rated in the comments, that participation is what matters, I don't believe it...The life of the site and its structure have shown this. For example, if an old photo has a high rating of over 30 or 40, and I've seen many of those throughout the history of flash mobs, it often wins because it's been up for a year or two, or several months, or was transferred from another flash mob by adding or changing keywords, but is also relevant to the theme. This is unfair to many photos uploaded on the day of the flash mob or new uploads; it defeats the purpose of the event. I'll go delete my photo from yesterday's flash mob, meaning I'll remove the keywords related to yesterday's theme, since it's from a previous flash mob on the theme "Like a Forerunner," but it also features a dog and how it spends its day. But it still seems unfair to me for one photo to be included in two flash mobs, even if it's relevant to the theme. I recommend that others follow my lead.

Master, it would be a good idea to not accept old photos that are relevant to the theme in flash mobs. Look above, I explained why.

Bluejay, you're worrying for nothing. Old photos can't be considered FDs, so they won't win the flash mob. I didn't upload my old series to win or to gain extra points; it's just that the flash mob has been filled with a lot of trash lately, and I wanted the viewers to have something interesting to look at. You might say this is immodest of me, but I'm saying it's true...

A flash mob isn't a competition at all. Why the rush for some mythical "flash mob victory" and all the stress? There's something I don't understand about this life...

Bluejay, you shouldn't be so worried. Old photos can't be considered FDs, so they won't win the flash mob. I didn't upload my old series to win or to gain extra points; it's just that the flash mob has been filled with a lot of utter trash lately, and I wanted the viewer to have something interesting to look at. P Laura, Thank you for your reply, dear P Laura. I'd like to respond with the phrase: "The trash can is a place where smells finally relax and become themselves!" (Buffy Anne Summers).

Odelena,
A flash mob isn't a competition at all, so why the race for some mythical "flash mob victory" and all that worry?
You're right, Lena.

Bluejay,
It would be a good idea to not accept old photos that fit the theme in flash mobs.
I don't think we should limit authors in their choices.
After all, the main thing is a decent photo... of the author.
And only they can decide... to be or not to be.

Larisa Kolesnikova, According to the new rules, as the Master said, one photo can participate in a flash mob. Personally, I didn't see any room for entire series of old photos. The site has attracted many new participants, at least judging by the black-and-white portrait competition and the last flash mob. Many of them are strong, but modest, unaware of technical subtleties, as well as local "elites" whose works were prosaically relegated to the "trash" category. Let's give them the opportunity to be equal to the masters and not scare them away. And now a picture of a flash mob. At the beginning of the flash mob, the masters exhibit their numerous old works, newcomers somewhere at the end of the first hundred. Not everyone will scroll through this hundred, not everyone will be seen and noticed. Maybe it's better to establish equality and at least be seen? And you can advertise yourself here on the site in series, portfolios, diaries, comments, or, at worst, on the masters' website photoru.35. P.S. I actually removed my work from the flash mob, but I'm worried about fairness.

who don't know the local "elite"
Dear Bluejay, did you intentionally put "elite" in quotation marks? Is that what you meant, that is, "elite" in quotation marks?
I'm asking because, as you yourself noted, you've lived abroad for a long time and perhaps don't understand certain nuances of the language.

Valeriy Sviderskiy, I don't understand what confused you? Do you think it should be without?

Bluejay, why don't you just suggest banning masters and "elites" from exhibiting, so as not to scare off newcomers, and be done with it. You're always suggesting half-measures that aren't very clear.
The flash mob rules are extremely simple: one main photo (+ for paid users), as many comments as you like, whether it's a series, a set, or a picture novel. Everyone is equal, and there are no additional restrictions for newcomers. I, for one, don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Flash mobs will soon have a dedicated theme selection interface, and photos will be added to flash mobs in the same way as contests (by selecting from a drop-down list when adding works). Flash mob works will also be displayed in the Contests section on the main page, so they can be viewed as a separate gallery rather than by keywords as is currently the case.

Dear Bluejay, not every community is large enough to accumulate elites. For example, in a dance club: The elite of our club is this lady and those two old men.
Or this: The elite of the pub are two men and a woman. A hurricane won't happen in a village pond. In my opinion, the site is too small. Therefore, elites without quotation marks (or even in quotation marks) can't exist here in principle. There are regulars.
Accordingly, your quotation marks are unnecessary, IMHO.
