Alexandra Pn, Thank you for your attention and kind feedback on this photo, Alexandra. It seemed to me that you are one of the few who somehow sensed the tragedy of this photograph. Some details of this shoot. The monument is not in a cemetery. Far from one of the villages, at the crossroads of three field roads, in a grove. I stumbled upon it by chance while hunting. There are no graves here. Some of the villages that made up this collective farm no longer exist. The local residents have almost disappeared, replaced by the ubiquitous amateurs. Around me are once rich fields, now overgrown with weeds as tall as a man. Behind me, 10 meters away, is a garbage dump. And no one, not a single living flower... I thought for a long time about how to photograph this place. Then I decided - let it be just a simple shot with screaming sharpness. So that it highlights the gaze of the woman and the soldier - as a silent reproach to all of us for something that they protected, and we did not preserve. Thanks again for your attention.
