B&W with a rainbow is, in my opinion, not the best solution...
And frame 3 would have been stronger if the mountain relief had been more detailed. Then there would have been a contrast between the flat, airy, hazy "top" and the crisp "bottom." But the light wasn't right, as I understand it...
I took the liberty of slightly enhancing the rainbow effect in your photo. Air usually weakens colors, making them more pastel due to tonal perspective...

Mikhail 57 Mir, Thanks for the comment, Mikhail!
1) I've been really interested in black and white lately, so I've been experimenting. If you don't know about rainbows, black and white creates a curious cloudy arch-gateway over the mountains, in my humble opinion.
2) Enhance the rainbow – yes, I probably should have, thanks!
3) Regarding frame 3 and the overall relief and tones – it's more my fault with the processing. It's clear I overdid the contrast in Photoshop; the originals are much lighter, which is what I liked. I found the deep gloom of the mountains and the subtle rainbow above them interesting, such a combination of opposites. But today I happened to look at it on a different monitor and saw that I'd overdone the contrast; the shadows are falling off, ruining the effect. I'll also try changing the processing to something calmer and more natural.

Mari L,
It's usually recommended to edit (or evaluate) photos in the morning in a dim room. In the evening, the contrast is different, and even neutral gray-toned clothing is recommended. And if you're editing on a Mac, the monitor has a gamma of 1.8, while for Windows systems it's 2.2. Therefore, the contrast is perceived differently, and it greatly depends on the monitor's profile settings. We once received a batch of NEC monitors at work. I tested them, and they had a completely distorted contrast-luminance curve, overstating the brightness, and it was impossible to achieve normal black levels. In my opinion, tube (CRT) monitors were better...

Mari L,
I forgot to ask, do you save files in sRGB? It's a "truncated" color locus, and most monitors "understand" it,
including the less-than-perfect ones.

Mikhail 57 Mir, yes, sRGB, I'm adapting it for the web.

Mari L,
In that case, it's most likely that THAT monitor wasn't configured properly...

A beautiful phenomenon... I think it looks like the Brocken spectre, but I don't notice the silhouette inside the rainbow.

8ele8, Elena, that's it. I never knew what this phenomenon was called, even though I've seen it more than once. Thanks for the tip (I googled it - now I'll know).
But I really didn't see the silhouette inside this time. I looked carefully at all the original images, and it's gone, it's dissolved, a "ghost" after all.
