As if molded from clay... an interesting character!
Zlobina Natalia, That's not the word! This man struck me right in the heart! I saw him every day sitting on a chair by the wall of the Jerusalem bus station, his legs covered with a blanket. He was reading something. I mistook him for a beggar, especially since there were several rather impudent individuals around, sitting on the ground and handing cups to passersby, demanding that they put money in them. I really wanted to take a photo of him, but I was afraid he would get angry, since one of his eyes was literally bulging out of its socket, and the other was almost invisible. But one day I saw a woman standing next to him and talking to him very respectfully, in Hebrew, of course. I immediately started taking his photo. The woman turned around and asked me in English: "Why are you photographing him?" I was embarrassed and couldn't think of anything better to say than, "I like him." The woman translated. He looked at me, nodded affably, and handed me a photo with something written in Hebrew. I still don't know what it was. I think he looks like a sage or even a prophet...

Aida, thank you, Aida, for the amazing story. I'm very curious what he wrote to you...
